The Voices, Opportunities & Choices Employment Club (VOCEC) exists to create jobs for people living with mental illness. There’s clear evidence that work is critical to recovery, yet up to 90% of people living with severe, persistent mental illness remain unemployed. Barriers to work often include stigma and discrimination.
Through work,
recovery is possible.
To achieve its mission, VOCEC operates a series of small businesses. Current businesses include cafés, landscaping, a car wash, catering, a print shop,assembly/packaging, warehousing,  distribution and cleaning. Together these ventures employ over 75 people living with mental illness. Recovery is our focus - it's possible through work.
As an award-winning not-for-profit corporation, all earnings are reinvested to create more jobs.
